Roethlisberger returns to practice, Pouncey sits out

The steelers need to take all the rest they can get for their players. The victory last Sunday was significant in going into the playoffs, but the first round bye would have been nice. There are several players that sat out of practice Thursday and a couple that might not even play Sunday against the Broncos. Some might even have to sit out. Pouncey and Rothlisberger are going through a tough time with injuries. If they play, there is noway that they are going to be 100%. With a quarterback on the broncos that just wins, the steelers are going to be in a dog fight.

Ex-prison guard sentenced for violating probation

A prison guard working to make the  prison a safer place is one thing. But having a record and working in the prison is another thing. If he threatened his wife with a gun what was he doing to the prisoners. Was he giving them guns, drugs, or could he have turned the other way when a prisoner said he was going to do something.

NOT GETTING A 2 HOUR DELAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Waking up at 6:30 this morning was horrible this morning. Looking out the window and seeing the roads are covered and wondering if we had a 2 hour delay. Finding out that we didn't and no other schools had it either was a bad experience. Then driving to school how am I going to get there on time. Well I walked into school 10 minutes late. You couldn't even see what was in front of you by 10 feet. Cars and buses couldn't even get up the road. And still no 2 hour delay. Then to hear in second period that the elementary kids get a 2 hour delay tops it off.

Hawk Mountian

The long walk up the mountain worthwhile because of the scenery that is about to unfold before our eyes. Looking at the wild life around you that never knew existed. It’s just you and the outdoors. People passing and going back to their giant backpacks and giant trees on every side of you and birds flying overhead and sitting in the trees and the slight climb in depth. Wanting there to be a top of the mountain and then you here keep on going. Then there is the top. The climb and wanting it to end because of the all the rocks that along the climb.  The difficulty of getting up to the highest point of the mountain. Then you hit the top of the mountain. The leaves changing colors and the windy day causing some of the leaves to fall off the trees.  The cold rocks underneath your butt and trees surrounding you with leaves continously falling off the trees. Birds sitting in the trees and flyin before your eyes. The giant valley of trees with nature at its best. A park that has not been in habitated just a park with the original trees. On a ledge with nothing but just rocks. Turkey vulchers sitting on the ledge below you. Fallen trees on the ledge with turkey vulchers all around it. Kids trying to get as close as possible to the birds and the only the only talking is the little kids parents yelling at their little kids to get back. Sitting up their in nature for a couple of hours and then the dreadful walk back to the car. Jumping from rocks to rocks not walking on the trail that they had.

When did you find out the truth about Christmas meaning?

Christmas is only 9 days away and I still haven't gone Christmas shopping. The true meaning about Christmas is about giving. Seeing the joy on others faces when they open your present is proboly one of the greatet experiences of the holiday. Spending time with your family that you haven't seen in a while, is an experience to catch up on the little things this time has to bring to the table. Then you got the other meaning where you always thought Santa came down the chimney and brought you all kind of presents to you late at night when you fell asleep. You would always try to wake up and catch him putting the presents underneath the tree early in the morning on christmas day. Then you got the parents video recording you opening the presents. I mean early in your childhood it was kind of cool because you might want to see it when you get older, but when your a teenager it gets kind of old.

Childhood Memories

Early in my childhood, my grandfather would come down and the firs thing I would say is that I would ask him if we can go see the ducks at Leopold lake. I would always tell him where to go and that would be that. I have very fond memories of feeding the ducks bread and fishing with him as a young child. We would always have to go go it as the first thing that we would do and the last thing we would do when he left. If he missed a turn I let him kniow, whatever it did I would let him know about no matter what.We would alwways have to to go and get more bread to feed the ducks because when we would go it would go on forevever because I never wanted it to stop. I always get shit from him at all the family events fro m what I did, but that’s the fond memories that I have of him when he would come down as a child. At every family event he would always tell the story aof the feeding ducks when we were young toeveryone.

Future Concerns?

Whats tomorrow going to be like in 2,3,4, or 5 years down the road? Is there going to be fewer or more jobs than there are today. Are we even going to get a job. The real problem is how are we going to pay off our college debt when todays graduates are having a hard time trying to find a job. Without a job you are screwed in today's society. You won't be able to pay off your college debt and no be able to purchase a house or even a car. The choices are yours. What college will give you the best experience to be ready to go out in the real world and be able to be competive in the work environment. How much money are you going to make and is the job that you find enjoyable going to open when its your time to work?
